Eating for Health:Whole Food Nutrition 101

 

This workshop goes over good old fashion healthy ways of eating home cooked food. This is a good workshop for those interested in eating or cooking healthy meals but have never set foot in the kitchen! Learn the basics of good whole food nutrition and receive three basic recipes to try at home. Jumpstart to Wellness Whether it is a New Year's Resolution or just time for a healthy change, this workshop guides those who are motivated, ready to to change their lifestyle and....well....Jump Start to Wellness!

 

Healthy Options Mama!

 

Life is all about options and this workshop offers you plenty for taking care of you!  Come learn the importance of self-care for new mothers and how following a good self-care plan can transform the health of you and your entire family! Feelings of fear, anxiety, stress, baby blues or depression or want to work to prevent these?  You’re not alone!  Come learn how healthy thoughts, strong relationships, fun movement, and excellent wholefood nutrition can strengthen and fortify you for the most important job on earth….Motherhood!

 

Healthy Pregnancy (This is a standalone workshop, or it can be combined with Healthy Options Mama!) 

 

The food we eat during pregnancy has a transgenerational effect on our families. That is, what we eat not only effects us and our unborn child, but also your great grandchild and possibly your great great grandchild. Learn how to "build" a healthy you and help give your family the priceless gift of transgenerational health.

 

Raising Your Child Naturally

 

This workshop is for parents or caretakers of children who want to learn how to raise children in a healthy and mutually respectful and loving environment. Participants will also learn to care for common childhood ailments such as constipation, stomach aches, colds, ear aches/infections, upper respiratory infections and non-life threatening allergies, with natural remeies right from your kitchen.

 

Brainfood for Children-

 

The food we feed our children becomes a part of them and can effect everything from their health, mood, learning, attention span and more. Learn foods that positively effect your child's brain and body development and foods/ingredients that negatively effect them. This class is especially "powerful and a must hear" for parents of "labled" children.

 

The Healthy Whole Woman

 

This workshop is a favorite and covers many aspects of a women's health.  In a quick paced world where women are wearing so many hats, it is easy to put yourself on the back burner.....but no more! This workshop is a collaboration of the Healthy Options Team and covers the importance of a woman maintaining healthy finances, healthy relationships, healthy thoughts, a healthy body and healthy sensuality/sexual energy and how a lack of fulfillment in any of these areas can devaste your health and/or life. It is chock full of easy to incorporate tips and ways to get started with healthy living easily or on the fast track. If  a woman is ready for healthy change, there is no way she will leave this workshop the same person she was when she entered the room.  This is a must for women that feel they have lost a "sense of self" and don't know how to find her. 

 

Thirty Days of Rest

 

This workshop is near and dear to my heart.  It was created out of the sheer exhaustion, loneliness, lack of healing time and longing for a caretaker that I experienced immediately after the birth after my first child.  The feelings intensified atfter the birth of my second child just under two years later as my energy plummeted, while nursing and taking care of two small children. I then found that many western world women shared my common experience immediately after childbirth. While looking for a solution to my dilema, I stumbled across eastern world practices, such as The Golden Month, immediately after child birth, a woman is cared for for 30-40 days as she heals, strengthens and bonds with baby. I embellished this concept to be a solution to some areas of opportunity for families in the US.  I set a goal to "re-culture" society, shifting from baby centered pregnancies and child centered marriages to pregnancies that nurture the mother to be and new mother and marriages that focus on the strength of the marriage/union and that love and energy then trickles down to the child creating a "whole" home. This is truly a game changer for familes.  My life, marriage and children were forever changed for the better after applying all the principles my team incorporated into this workshop.

This workshop helps individuals stay away from "fad buying" and guides individuals towards meals containing healthy, healing and whole food ingredients. Specialized diets can be quite pricey. Learn ways to keep gluten free eating economical.
